SPECIALIZED Chiropractic Care FOR ANIMALS
We provide specialized chiropractic care to animals across the greater Chattanooga area. With over ten years of experience in equine and canine chiropractic care, Dr. Justin is dedicated to helping pets live pain-free, active lives — all through gentle, hands-on chiropractic adjustments.
Whether your dog struggles with mobility issues, or your horse needs post-performance adjustments, or you simply want to improve your animal’s overall wellness, we’re here to help.
Dogs, cats, and other furry/scaly/feathery friends are seen in our office. For horses and other large animals, we come to you in Hamilton, Marion, Sequatchie, Bradley, Dade, Walker, Catoosa Counties and beyond.
what to expect
Each adjustment begins with a conversation of how the animal has been acting and feeling. While we talk, I’ll be paying attention to the animal establishing their trust and comfort. I’ll observe how the animal moves by watching them walk, and I’ll perform an orthopedic/neurological evaluation. We’ll discuss the potential issues your animal might be presenting and what we can do about them.
Then, depending on the case, we’ll start the adjustments, myofascial work, and stretching. I’ll also demonstrate some at-home exercises you can do with the animal to continue improvements. The entire visit averages from 30-40 minutes. After the adjustment, many horses and dogs need time to relax, so plan on allowing time for rest — no hikes or riding that day.

X-rays are not necessary for most patients, but they are helpful when available. If there is a severe condition or injury, we will usually recommend seeing a vet and getting x-rays to rule out contra-indications such as fractures, dislocations, bone tumors, etc. If you have x-rays of your pet, please email them to dr.justin@thecruxchiro.com
