CHIROPRACTIC CARE FOR HUMANS
WHAT TO EXPECT
After a thorough examination on your first visit, if everything looks good, we can move on to the fun part — the adjustment!
This involves manipulation of the misaligned joints. Most of the time there is an audible release of gas from the joint (the pop or crack), followed by a sensation of relief.
We also provide additional forms of lighter adjustments for geriatric clients, children, or anyone who might not like the cracking noise.
The adjustment itself will take around 10 minutes, and then we will apply other techniques of therapy (check them out below) to help your body hold the adjustment and heal better.
Our Services
-
Muscular dysfunctions might show up as muscle tightness or spasms. Dry needling may help. A thin solid needle is used to desensitize and deactivate trigger points, which can increase blood flow, relax the area, and speed up recovery time.
WHAT TO EXPECT: We will use anywhere from 1-10 needles in the areas of your body that are causing issues. Normally, the feeling is a small ache where the needle is inserted. Depending on what we are trying to achieve, this usually takes around 20 minutes.
-
Beyond the spine, there is so much we can do to help your body heal. Whether you’re experiencing tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, a sprained ankle, hip pain, you name it — our adjustments can help realign your entire body. Imagine driving around with an unbalanced tire. If left unchecked, this could throw off your front-end alignment. In the same way, an out-of-place ankle inevitably affects the knee, hip, and lower back. If we can adjust your ankle, we can keep you driving without any further (or future) compensations.
WHAT TO EXPECT: After the spinal adjustment, we will assess your other joints from ankles to wrists, ensuring proper movement of all structures.
-
Muscles and ligaments provide structural mobility and stability — they’re the reason we don’t end up like wet noodles on the ground. For managing injuries in muscles, tendons, fascia, or nerves, we use a hands-on soft tissue technique. Common symptoms of these injuries are: back pain, rotator cuff strain, plantar fasciitis, headaches… the list goes on (because our body does an excellent job of compensating at the expense of our soft tissues.)
WHAT TO EXPECT: This is a manual therapy designed to elicit movement to targeted areas and will result in improved motion and decreased pain. We’ll evaluate your movements and address the appropriate soft tissues to have the greatest affect.
-
If you’ve watched Michael Phelps dominate in the Olympics, you’ve probably seen the circular bruises on his back — these are from cupping. Cupping is an ancient art and eastern science healing modality. The idea is to decompress the tissues to bring proper blood flow, decrease pain, and increase body awareness.
WHAT TO EXPECT: We use a dynamic method of cupping from Rock Tape, which allows your body to move with the cups. Sometimes the cups will leave coloring on the skin — this is a normal response.
-
Our bodies share a network of fibers called fascia. A simple way to understand fascia is to pinch part of your shirt and twist it a little. You will notice that the rest of your shirt is affected by the small movement you made. It’s the same for our soft tissues. Releasing the fascia helps stop unwanted pulls or effects on other parts of our body.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Using our jade gua sha scraper, we’ll facilitate gentle movement that will bring new sensations to the skin. This allows the underlying tissues to “unglue’ from each other so you can experience better movement.
-
Between each bony vertebra in our back is a squishy doughnut-like thing called a disc. We’ve all heard of the dreaded herniated disc, and that is exactly what traction is used for. In conjunction with other treatments, our table is designed to facilitate more movement and decrease pressure on your discs, thus alleviating pain and numbness associated with most disc issues.
WHAT TO EXPECT: This is a passive treatment. You lie comfortably face down and we do all the work for you. We use slow, precise movement of the table at specific angles designed to take pressure off your disc.

This tape works with the tissues just below the skin. After the adjustment and soft tissue work, we can apply tape to lift, decompress, and stabilize the tissues. Athletes all over the world use this to increase their performance and aid in recovery.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Tape is placed directly on the skin and can be left on up to 3 days for optimal outcomes.
What is Chiropractic?
Consider the foundation of a house. Signs of a good foundation are level floors, walls without cracks, and windows and doors that open with ease.
When the foundation shifts, issues arise. Maybe the changes aren’t super noticeable at first, but then one day we find that the floor is sloped, and the window no longer opens as easily as it once did.
The spine is the foundation of the body.
The body tells us there’s an issue through a lack of movement or an imbalance, and these symptoms can lead to pain.
Our mission is to find these symptoms and correct your foundation before you experience any compensation or pain.
